When will the Sony PS5 Pro be released?
There isn’t an exact date for the release of the PS5 Pro. However, it is expected to arrive in the fourth quarter of 2024. The enhanced features might exceed expectations. This new powerhouse will come with ray tracing technology and a GPU running at a maximum frequency of 2.35GHz.
Additionally, it will be equipped with 16GB of GDDR6 RAM. The digital version (without an optical drive) is estimated to be priced around $500. Here are the technical specifications of the PS5 Pro:
- CPU: Eight-core Zen2 processor with a high-frequency mode support of 3.85GHz.
- Performance: 45% faster rendering speed and 3x increase in ray tracing performance.
- Memory: 16GB RAM, 576GB/s memory bandwidth, and 1.2GB extra usable memory for games.
- Technology: PSSR super-resolution technology and 300T 8-bit AI computing power.
Developer kits were distributed earlier this year, and game developers will start offering PS5 Pro-specific optimizations from July 30th. Sony has mandated that games released after September 15th be specially optimized for the PS5 Pro.
